AMISTAR
RESONATOR INSTRUMENTS, Czech Republic
Amistar have revived the Czech Dopyera Brothers
tradition of building resonator guitars in the Czech
Republic. Frantisek Javurek, the proprietor, plays tenor
guitar himself and they have included several lines of
metal-bodied and wood-bodied tenor guitar models similar
to those produced by National Instruments in the U.S. in
the 1920s, 30s and 40s.
If you have any enquiries about the guitars below or would like
to purchase any, please email Steve using the
icon at
the end of the description of each guitar.

Amistar Stager Acoustic/Electric Tenor
Guitar

|
Amistar Stager tenor
A nickel coated brass electric acoustic
cutaway resonator tenor, which has a
brilliant sound. Almost unique - the first
of this model was personally built for
Frantisek Javurek the proprietor of Amistar
and I have the second model. They seem to be
built to order rather than offered as
production instruments. Click each photo for
a larger view.
