EARNEST INSTRUMENTS - Maine, USA, Joel Eckhaus
Joel Eckhaus is a brilliant luthier who specialises in building interesting and high quality four course instruments, including a wide range of different styles of tenor guitar, many based on traditional six string guitar designs.
If you have any enquiries about the guitars below or would like to purchase any, please email Steve using the icon at the end of the description of each guitar.

Rosetta Au Natural -
Earnest Instruments Rosetta "Au Naturel" is a solid body electric tenor guitar built by top flight luthier Joel Eckhaus. It has an LP shaped body and a rubbed oil finish. The upgrades on this model include two humbucking pickups and a hard shell case and it has a 21" scale. It is currently tuned to CGDA standard tenor tuning, but several other tunings are possible, as with all tenor guitars. This is a fantastic looking and playing tenor guitar from the foremost specialist tenor guitar luthier in the U.S. Click each photo for a larger view.

Earnest Instruments 'Tenorcaster' -
A solid bodied electric tenor guitar inspired by the Fender Telecaster - a brilliant concept with a great sound made for rock and blues playing - mint condition. Click each photo for a larger view.

Earnest Instruments 'Veronica'
An electric/acoustic archtop with cutaway and floating Kent Armstrong pick up that could have been inspired by John D'Angelico himself. This is a classic example of an electric jazz tenor guitar - mint condition. Click each photo for a larger view.
